How can I enable / disable sites listed in preferences?

How can I enable / disable sites listed in preferences?

Sorry to ask such a basic question, but I can't find an answer I can understand anywhere.:oops:
In the advertisement list in Adblock Plus preferences there is a list of sites, some of which I'd like to ensure are blocked. They have little green blobs alongside them in a column headed 'enabled'.
Does this mean they are enabled or that are not?
And if they are enabled, how can I disable them?

Yeah you have to click on the blobs in order to enable or disable them. If the blob is green, then the filter enabled. If it's grey, the filter is disabled.
