hardocp.com difficulty

Post by Adblock Plus Fan »

hardocp.com, front page, there's a little box called "powered by the planet" and I can't block it. :(

Blocking the image itself "http://www.hardocp.com/images/sprite.png" will break the site.

And for some reason it seems to be immune to Element Hiding Helper. That makes me sad

Can someone confirm this?

This is my current setup:
Application: Firefox 2.0.0.3 (2007030919)
Operating System: WINNT (x86-msvc)
- Adblock Plus 0.7.2.4+.2007032103
- Adblock Plus: Element Hiding Helper 1.0.1
I went on an extensive Add-on shopping yesterday and my firefox currently loads 33 extensions. I hope it's just because my setup is broken by incompatabilities and not because they found a way to be immune to ABP

It breaks the site because that image is part of the page's background image. It's not an separate image.

Because this particular background image is attached to the page header so that you would need to hide the entire header to get rid of it. This filter works:

Code: Select all

hardocp.com#DIV(id=header)
But I doubt you will like that solution...
