Unblock Preview Video's on Fox.com

Post by Skillz »

I've installed Adblock Plus + the 3 filter-sets found on easylist.adblockplus.org.

Now how do I UN-block the video preview on the right side on Fox.com?

Can it be done in a easy way or do I have to search trough the filter lists?

Hope someone can help me (again)

I haven't tested much but this whitelist might do the trick:

Code: Select all

This one needs an exception rule:

Code: Select all

@@fox.com/*flvplayer.
I will add that later today. For now just add it.

Just noticed you've kept your word!
Fox.com movies on the right side are working now.

Thx!

?????
I didn't do anything to the filters yet. Just got home from work (which is where I replied from earlier).

I work on it soon here. I may change it a little after I study it.

@Skillz then I think it's best to remove the filter you have added for fox.com for now and just wait until rick752 has updated the list.

I'm not sure how robust ABP is about this, but I think it's best to only have one filter for any particular element.

It's working here also without that whitelist . It may rotate. Or maybe it was just a test by them. Or something that I added or removed from the filters fixed it over the last few days.

Anyway, it seems ok for now. Let me know if it changes again.

Argh, looks like I was too fast...

It was working and right now...it isnt anymore. Odd-d-d-d.

I allready removed the custom applied filter rules but it still worked a while ago. Guess something changed.

p.s. Good to hear even "gods" have to work

I know what's wrong. The fox.com webmaster is lurking this forum and is doing what he can to tease us

[fixed]
Slight adjustment on an already existing filter. Updated.

ps: things like these would probably be better taken to my EasyList forum:

No problem, Fan. I know you were only joking. It took me a while to convince Wladimir (he thought that I was paranoid .... at first)

But it happens a lot from 'snoopers' from very BIG sites. Some sites will implement almost instant changes upon reading something publicly announced here or at the EasyList forum.
