Web Site with AdBlock Detector

Hello AdBlock Plus Team,

I have been using AdBlock Plus with Firefox for over a year, and its performance has been phenomenal. Thank you!

I recently ran across a web site that has an AdBlock Detector. If you use AdBlock Plus on this web site, it detects the presence of AdBlock Plus and prevents the web site from loading the desired content until AdBlock Plus is disabled so that the ads load with the content. The web site is http://player.liquidcompass.net/p/WRSIFM . You can find the AdBlock Detector by viewing the web page source code and searching on "adblock". The functioning of the AdBlock Detector is partially commented in the source code.

I have a suspicion that it may be difficult to override this AdBlock Detector, but I feel that the approach used by this web site could be the future of where the battle over advertising on the web is fought if more web sites adopt this approach. So I thought you might want to study the situation to see if a future version of AdBlock Plus could override this AdBlock Detector. Since this web site is displaying banner ads and forcing me to view them, I sure would appreciate being able to stop their display!
