Will adding easyprivacy speed up page loading?

Post by Rational Db8 »

Hi folks,

I'm currently subscribed only to easylist. I'm wondering if adding easyprivacy will speed up - or slow down - website page loading?

I would say speed up. The less crap sites have to load the better the loading speed should be.

Thank you Hubird!

Would you (or others!) please talk to me a bit about the comparison, pros and cons, between Adversity, EasyPrivacy, and the firefox add on Ghostery? I'm currently using Firefox 9 on a Windows 7 PC. Also, regarding Adversity, I'm not clear if that's one to use with Easylist, or if it's to replace Easylist? Side note, minor question - I've added the malware domains subscription - but assume it works fine with any of these and covers different issues than these others do, correct?

If you are using EasyList and EasyPrivacy you should not add Adversity or any other general subscription (Adversity and Fanboy's list are alternatives to EasyList).

All 3 main subscriptions (Adversity, EasyList and Fanboy') are all high quality and in the end it might just come down to what works best for you or whether you need a non English supplemental subscription.

Malaware domains is a speciality subscription and is fine to add with any other general subscription (I use it myself).
