Blocked with?
I am positive that it sets some UTM cookies, why not block the script that loads the cookies instead of blocking the two cookies it requests?

Blocking GA will break many websites.
Fanboy has Enhanced Tracking List which does block GA but with a whitelist for sites which break.

There needs to be better disclosure on any supposedly anti-tracking list which isn't blocking GA.
GA is by far the worst tracking offender on the Internet. It is extremely intrusive, run by one of the Internet's worst privacy offenders, and virtually everywhere.
Non-technical users who install a tracking blocklist have a reasonable expectation that a tracker of such rottenness will be blocked.

From Wikipedia:
It is the most widely used website statistics service,[2] currently in use on around 57% of the 10,000 most popular websites.[3] Another market share analysis claims that Google Analytics is used at around 49.95% of the top 1,000,000 websites (as currently ranked by Alexa).[4]
If GA isn't blocked, a user is in effect surrendering their browsing activity and one or more online identitie(s) to Google.

Blocking google-analytics causes lots of issues, we block it in a seperate list. And as you see, blocking google-analytics causes a few problems on these sites (so far)
Code: Select all
@@||google-analytics.com/ga.js$domain=donanimhaber.com|sundance.org|justjared.com|kleinanzeigen.ebay.de|timberland.com|billboard.com|google.com|priceme.co.nz|games.latimes.com|banshee.fm|myyearbook.com|eonline.com|yellow.co.nz|logitech.com|lucasarts.com|tomshardware.com|maxcdn.com|tweetgrid.com|frequency.com|aftonbladet.se|seekingalpha.com|threatfire.com|bolha.com|jetbrains.com|fora.tv|thevine.com.au|americanapparel.net|mashable.com|brobible.com|oyster.com|photobucket.com|nuts.co.uk|alatest.com|apps.facebook.com|billabong.com|weeworld.com|youtube.com|philips.com|tvunetworks.com|g4tv.com|jobsite.co.uk|avast.com|ehow.com|gasbuddy.com|globaltv.com|nme.com|imageshack.us|tube8.com|priestville.org|coedmagazine.com|latimes.com|umbro.com
If you're wanting more impressive blocking, add Enhanced filters from:
http://www.fanboy.co.nz/filters.html which has google-analytics (and webtrends, omniture, coremetrics) blocked.

Fanboy, your site appears to be experiencing some difficulties:
Website currently unavailable
The website you are trying to access is currently unavailable. Please try again at a later time.
If you are the site owner, here is a help resource to help resolve the issue.
The direct link to the enhanced list I found in Google's index also generates the same error message.

The guest may also be using HTTPS Everywhere, which now redirects the main site to the secure site (but does not, notably, redirect the Fanboy forums to HTTPS).

Fanboy has been having some problems with CloudFlare lately; I know the forums have been having issues...anyway, is it possible to disable the rule for Fanboy's site? If you're using the Chrome version of HTTPS Everywhere it's a bit more difficult...
