Adblock Plus and PCH Games

I had no problem updating on Firefox, but nothing works with Safari. How would I update Safari?

if you mean updating the filter lists see for chrome (it should be the same for safari)

or click directly ABP icon, options, "filter lists" tab, click "update now"

No, I meant adding new filters. I followed the Chrome directions and I added the 3 filters mentioned on the forum one by one and now the ads are playing. What am I doing wrong?

you mean the video ads or what ?

in ABP for safari the video ads using FLASH can not be blocked (safari limitations). Did you try eventually (if the site permits) html5 ? (disabling flash plugin)

I'm not quite sure what you mean. What is html5 and how would I disable Flash Plugin in Safari? I can't find a Flash plugin in Safari only in Firefox.

what ads are playing ?

if flash is installed in firefox safari will use that one.
html5 is the new standard to use for playing (embedding) a video in a web page. Not all the sites use this new standard, some are using still flash.

When I go onto PCH games, the advertising ads aren't blocked anymore in Safari. I have not had any problems with Safari and PCH until this latest snafu with PCH. Adblock Plus isn't blocking the ads anymore. Firefox is OK since I added the three filters mention on the forum. Adding those three filters does nothing with Safari. So why isn't ABP blocking the ads anymore in Safari anymore? I can't understand why Flash has anything to do with this since everything was working.

I'm saying that only the video ads in flash can not be blocked on safari.

For the ads you are seeing, did you check your filter lists ? Are still there ? correctly downloaded ? no errors ?

I tried on an old safari 5.1.7 in windows and still works normally, no ads

My filter lists are still there. I also added these: @@||optimatic.com^*/shell*.swf$object,domain=pch.com;@@.xml$domain=games.pch.com;@@||games.pch.com^$stylesheet Should I remove these? I don't know how to upload a screen shot.

You have to add the filters on 3 different rows (why those ; between them on the same row ?!)

I am very confused. Those three filters are on 3 separate lines. I just put the ; to save space on my post. I'm posting 2 images of the one of the ads. I feel these ads are not being blocked by ABP,

I have no idea how to use imgur. I went to imgur.com and could not figure out how to do it. Can't I send a .jpg or .tiff. I don't understand why you need photos. The games work, but I have to wait for the commercials to do their thing which means for some reason they aren't being blocked.

I'm getting a little frustrated. Everything works fine in Firefox, not in Safari.

imgur.com, at the top you can see "upload images", click it, then "browser your computer" and so on, in the end you'll have the link for the uploading stuff

You see ads, but also you have to wait ... in this case it's about video ads you are waiting which for flash can not be blocked by ABP.
Strange, because in my safari 5.1.7 in windows I didnt wait and it's working.

Probably you have to use firefox for pch, I can't test a current version of safari (on mac)

It's strange that that I'm having this problem with Safari & PCH because it could always be fixed like Firefox. Oh well. Guess I'll just leave it alone for now.

I am still trying to get Safari to work with PCH again. The adds are not being blocked. I added the 3 filters, that didn't work. Then I tried http://axistrivia.altervista.org/pch.html and that didn't work either. PCH games used to work fine, but now all the ads aren't being blocked. How can I fix this?
