Yes the new algorithm allows a much more compact yet effective filter list.
I guess this works better for custom filters because probably in subscriptions they prefer to have more lengthy and less "generic" rules over risking false positives.

EDIT: I forgot that I avoided the ^1440. filter because its keyword was already in use. Removed from the OP post.
I decided to rework the filters slightly, Instead of having two filters for 1440, I made use of the height dimension, .900^.

Not ideal, but it's an acceptable compromise I think.
