chrome: YouTube hangs for a few seconds after opening

yea the only solution for now is to log out. it's definitely easylist. wish i knew how to pinpoint which filter was causing the conflict with youtube. whatever it is, it only processes when you're logged in

Any update on the situation guys? Im still experiencing this issue..

Ive tried both Adblock and AdblockPlus, both seems to have the freezing issue. Disabling Easylist and/or signing out of youtube seems to fix the freezing issue, both on APB and regular AB, so I guess its safe to say EasyList messed up somewhere.

issue is purely on chrome.
just loaded firefox. issue not present.

I am too using firefox with adblock at the moment, and the issue is not present in this browser.

So we have isolated it to: Chrome = Adblock = Easylist filter. Any ideas guys?

in my case im using firefox and it seems like adblock has nothing to do with this, the only thing that ALWAYS fixes this problem is logging out of google (that is the same gmail/google/youtube)

there must be something google checks in your account every time you want to load a youtube video, some kind of sync funtion or so..

this is soooooooooooo annoying and i cant find any official comment or link that shows google is aware of this, really weird

I had this problem too and I found out that it has something to do with your subscriptions. I was subscribed to like 100 channels and the loading was like 4 extra seconds. So yesterday I reduced them to 27 and now youtube hangs about 1 second only.

the fact that it hangs at all is the problem. it shouldnt be.

are you using EasyList though? EL is the only list i'm subscribed to and YT still hangs

its the only american list, which is the problem. I'd be able to confirm if it was just easylist or not otherwise.
