Adblock blocking Gmail Attachments

Suddenly, when active, Adblock has begun to block Gmail attachments so that it is not possible to download files that are sent to me. The workaround is merely to disable adblock temporarily and refresh the gmail message. So, it isn't that serious a problem. But it would be good if it were fixed.

This might me due to a false positive.

By left-clicking on the Text in the statusbar, you will get a window, that shows with which filter which context was blocked. You could try this to find out why this is happening.

If this doesn't help a site-whitelist-filter for gmail might help, as it would automatically deactivate Adblock for gmail.

I've noticed this too. I'm using Filterset.G + whitelist.

It looks like Adblock Plus is blocking a #DIV(ad_2342236_random_numbers).

Then I noticed the recommended settings for Filterset.G is to uncheck 'Check DIV Elements'.

I can't see attachments in Gmail anymore (as of today), and oddly, whitlisting GMail doesn't help! When I display an email with attachment with ABP activated and GMail on the whiltlist (ABP showing "deactivated for this page"), I won't see an attachment. If I disable ABP completely, the attachment will show.

i removed the entry and now the attachments show just fine - but why doesn't the whitelisting work?

Whitelisting doesn't work with element hiding because it works differently from regular ad blocking.

That's bug 14814 - something I would really like to fix but didn't find a way yet.

This is pretty major. I've been using Adblock for years and this bug could kill the app for me

zakkenroller, the Gmail problem has been fixed in Cedric's subscription. Either wait two more days until it gets updated automatically or force an update - open Adblock Plus preferences and press Ctrl+Shift+T (Strg+Shift+T).

I had installed the updated version of ABP thinking that would solve the problem. Wrong.

After updating the subscription per your suggestion (doh!) gmail is working fine. Thanks a million!!!
