html5 annoyances

I've had a twitter bird flying over my screen, getting in the way of what I'm trying to read.

Another one is the screen dimming and a popup. Another is the page animating from the side obscuring the text.

This is all very irritating. How do we fix these annoyances if they originate from the same server?
