Can't read yahoo mail classic messages in Firefox 8 for Mac

I have recently noticed an AdBlock conflict with Firefox 8 (and 8.1) for Mac where the body of email messages are not displayed in Yahoo Mail Classic. If I disable AdBlock - or I disable javascript - I can then read the messages. I have AdBlock Plus 1.3.10 and Element Hiding Helper for AdBlock Plus 1.1.2 installed. BTW, Yahoo Mail Classic works fine with Safari.

Does anyone know how to fix this incompatibility.

Where is the ABP icon?

Either in the Addon Bar which is at the bottom or next to the search bar on the top right hand corner.
If not there in either place ..
go to addons > ABP Options > Option > Show in toolbar or status bar.
You will be able to find the issue reporter now.

It might just be me but when I just rried it, the mails will not show even if I disable Adblock Plus. It seems to be more related to the javascript setting as you mention.

javascript disabled + classic -> works
javascript enabled + classic -> mails not visible
javascript enabled + standard -> works

Yes, but

javascript enabled, AdBlock disabled + classic -> works

So, perhaps two sides of the same coin. And since I need javascript enabled to view many webpages, I look at this as an AdBlock issue.

I have exactly the same issue and I am running on Win2K with Firefox 8.
If I disable Javascript I can read my Yahoo Classic email.
I haven't tried disabling AdBlock.

I added this exception
@@|http://us.mc*.mail.yahoo.com/*
I can now read my yahoo classic mail and perform various commands such as Check All, Clear All.
Of course, now I get a bunch of ads on the mail site.

It could be that one of the subscriptions is set up to block us.mc*.mail.yahoo.com?
