xxxoh.com on covers.box.sk

Post by Marijo »

Hi!

On http://covers.box.sk/, the following script is not blocked (although the resulting pop-up is):

Code: Select all

http://www.xxxoh.com/sp/delivery/js.php?advplaces=72
Can this be added to the filter lists too?

Regards,
Marijo

Already covered in my Adult list by

Code: Select all

?advplaces=
But since this is not an Adult site I'll move it to my main list.

Thanks a lot guys! :)
I think I should consider switching filter sets. I use EasyList/Privacy primarily because of EasyList Germany. Would it be possible to "mix" EasyListGermany with one of your base filter lists (Adversity/Privacy, Fanboy Adblock/Tracking)?

I believe you can subscribe to EasyList Germany on it's own so you can use it with any other primary subscription you choose.

For bests results though I always recommend not to mix subscriptions from different authors (with the exception of lists such as Antisocial, Malware Domains etc).

I'm sure the EasyList guys will take a look soon...

Every list has its own "missing filters" and false positives.

It's not about how long it takes the EasyList authors to add suggested filters to their lists, it's about my custom filter lists which keeps growing. I've noticed that Fanboy's lists for example are much less "forgiving" than EasyList and it would allow me to minimize my custom filters. Looks like I'm gonna need to do some tests...

I was not aware of this; for some reason I thought that Fanboy's filters would not be quite so optimized for ABP as EasyList, because Fanboy also maintains a set of Opera filters and Opera has a less flexible system...but maybe that assumption was incorrect.

Anyway I'll echo Hubird, you should not subscribe to more than one general-purpose list, and the supplementals should only be mixed-and-matched where specified, like Fanboy Adult is actually made for EasyList (the Adult filters are also in Fanboy's main list), and Adversity Adult and Adversity Antisocial stand on their own. Also, specialized lists may freely be subscribed to in addition to the general-purpose lists, like Malware Domains and the Rickroll Blacklist.
There's a buzzin' in my brain I really can't explain; I think about it before they make me go to bed.

Antisocial would be fine to use with any other list however the Adversity Adult list is made with only Adversity users in mind.

As I understand it, Fanboy's Opera lists are distinct from his main subscription.
