Hello,
I work in a software company, developing MIS software for schools. We give our software free to schools on the basis they can use that money for other things. We make our money through advertisements on a parents portal/VLE that parents use. We have 4 small 120 x 120 adverts on there which we sell in order to fund the development and support the schools.
After discovering adblocker our adverts get blocked and thus we gain no revenue. Is there any way we can allow adverts on the site just for this service?
Many thanks
Jason

Re: Stop adblocker
You can ask your visitors to disable ABP on your site. If you inform them that you only show non-intrusive ads, they will probably have no problem with whitelisting you site.
Re: Stop adblocker
Other than what Till said, there is another thing.
If you use some third-party adserver for the banner (like doubleclick) it is probably blocked by "generic" filter.
Instead if you have something made by yourself you could avoid to be blocked by naming it with something that is NOT related with advertisement.
Basically it is a matter of keywords. This does not stop people to write their own custom filter to remove your banner but it might work with those who use subscriptions.
