For whatever reason, the creators of nicovideo thought it would be cool to seal the user's F5 key. They use some kind of script to redirect the user to a blank page with the text "use the browser's refresh option", further mocking the user. Since I prefer to use my keyboard for most browser functions, this is a big inconvenience for me.
Here is an example video: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm7538290
Through trial and error, I was able to find blocking two objects would prevent this annoying effect from occuring:
http://res.nimg.jp/swf/player/nicoplaye ... 1261114150
http://res.nimg.jp/swf/player/cross_sha ... 0912152130
The second one is listed as an object subrequest...
Unfortunately when I block them, it also prevents the video from appearing as well.
If anyone knows a way around this, please advise me, thanks!
Nicovideo's annoying code?

Re: Nicovideo's annoying code?
I don't experience any problems reloading the page via keyboard on my Mac, neither with F5 nor with CMD + R. I'll give it a try on Windows tomorrow.

Re: Nicovideo's annoying code?
looks like its embedded in the actual flash, no way to block it without losing functionality sorryNicoViewer wrote:For whatever reason, the creators of nicovideo thought it would be cool to seal the user's F5 key.
