rlslog.net - adblock plus doesnt recognise ads/banners

Post by 0ldfart »

Ive never seen ads on btjunki...[edit rlslog.net] thanks to adblock plus. for some reason, last night ads started showing up.

There's no block tab option (as though adblock doesnt see them) and when I right-click there's no option to block the ad/banner.

Very crafty... >:'/

Can anyone point me in the right direction to block ads on this site?

Cheers

Jim

You didn't say what subscription you are using ....

I don't see any ads on that site but you could see if subscribing to Fanboy's Adult list helps.

http://www.fanboy.co.nz/adblock/

Look down the right hand side where is say "Firefox: Seperated Out"

I used EasyList for a very long time and it is very good, the only problem I have with it is that lately Ares2 (the list maintainer) has been very slow to add suggestions and fix false positives.

It is not recommended to use more than one general subscription at the same time, it can slow your browsing down, increases your chances of a false positive and makes them harder to track down. If you still intend to use EasyList I would not use Fanboy's general list at the same time (the dimensions and adult lists should be fine to use with any subscription though).

Did his Adult list do the trick for you on http://www.rlslog.net ?
