Windows 7 + FF 3.5 + ABP = Fail?

Post by butter_milch »

Me again... hope the mods are ok with me opening a new thread to make sure that I can edit my own post...

I have just finnished installing W7 and setting up FF 3.5 with all the plug-ins I need. I was shocked when I noticed that ABP wasn't blocking any ad whatsoever.

And YES I've added filters (I may be stupid - but I'm not a retard)

I have no idea what could be causing this problem. Here's proof that I did everything correct... and that ABP isn't working:

HELP! :(

Ok, I think this goes beyond Firefox.

Not only is FF not saving passwords but certain applications such as the AppLauncher Gadget don't save their settings.

This sucks :(

I too have been having problems with ABP and Windows 7, when I had Vista there were no ads, as soon as I upgraded to Windows 7 ads started to appear all over the place.

What's going on?

butter_milch, your screenshot shows a download error for both filter subscriptions. It seems that you cannot access https://easylist.adblockplus.org/ for some reason - just go there directly to see what the problem is.
