Is there a way to change the default selection when you rt. click an image and add a new filter?
Example:
O http://pics.somewebpage.com/thumbnails/ ... 77_pic.jpg
* http://pics.somewebpage.com/thumbnails/65/46/*
O http://pics.somewebpage.com/"
O pics.somewebpage.com^
O Custom: http://pics.somewebpage.com/thumbnails/ ... 77_pic.jpg
In the above example, the second choice is the default, which would block any thumbnail present at that location on the page, not just a specific thumbnail. If the TOP choice were ticked, it would block only the User_777_pic.jpg object, and only if it were in the same location.
My question is, how can I get adblock plus to use either the top line as default, or the custom line as default?
Change default selection in "Look for pattern"
Re: Change default selection in "Look for pattern"
I don't know how much you know about Firefox so I'm going to explain like you know nothing. Not meant to be insulting.
In the address area type about:config and press enter then look for extensions.adblockplus.composer_default
extensions.adblockplus.composer_default Determines which suggestion should be selected in the filter composer by default:
0 — custom pattern
1 — exact address only
2 — entire directory - Is the default setting
3 — entire site
I would find by putting composer_default in the search box at the top of the about:config page next to filter and change to what you would want in the box that comes up after double clicking it. You seem to want 1 or 0. 1 being your first choice, so it would seem. But this will change it for every time you use it, not just the one site/place.
This info can be found on Adblock Plus preferences page. Which is on the Documentation page at the top of every page here at adblockplus.org Just so people will know.
