#request# GET vs filter: fail?

Post by Wisdom Fluxion »

live headers (extension) shows these:

Code: Select all

#request# GET http://ads.hulu.com/published/sprint/sprint_instinct_1q09/sprint_episode_slate/Sprint_BrandSlate_16x9_v2.swf

#request# GET http://ads.hulu.com/published/frito_lay/tostitos_fox_q109/tostitos_foxbb_brandslate/Tostitos_BrandSlate_v2.swf
why does this filter NOT block them:

Code: Select all

Using the easylist subscriptions: easylist, easylist tracking

(those two swfs show in the hulu player but are not shown in ADP blockable items list)

Might be because Firefox gives Adblock Plus the wrong context for these requests. Adblock Plus Watcher helps finding out what the issue is - but I cannot access the videos myself, they are restricted to US.

I think that filter isn't working because those URL's are embedded in the URI of a longer string of an object_subrequest.

Don't start the filters with the | and I think that may work.
