Wildcards in element hiding rules?

Post by Will Pittenger »

Can wild cards be used in element hiding rules? AccuWeather.com puts ads in IFRAMEs that could readily be blocked if I could create an IFRAME rule that kills all frames where the source URL matches a mask.

Picture explains what you can do when you compose an EHH rule.

If you need to emulate a more sophisticated wildcard see:

Note that when you hide something with element hiding rules the content will still be downloaded.
If you need to completely block the frame, do it the normal way: http://adblockplus.org/en/faq_basics#blocking
