(no idea how it'd get on my computer, I'd purged my computer of anything even remotely like a virus a few days ago. the only thing I had downloaded since then was Spotify, and if this is Spotify's fault, I'm going to have words with them.)
anyways, I'd like to report the most terrifyingly malicious popup I have ever had the displeasure of viewing:

that's a cropping of the full site, focusing on the offending pop-up in particular, because the full image is too big to be practical for forum viewing. I've an Imgur link for the whole thing:

So guess what happens when you hit either the "X" or "OK" on that pop-up.
IT POPS BACK UP AGAIN.
THE WEBSITE DISABLES ALL THE FUNCTIONS ON YOUR BROWSER EXCEPT FOR THE ONE THAT CLICKS OFF THAT LITTLE POP-UP,
THEN IT JUST BRINGS THE POP-UP BACK.
this is absolutely ridiculous. you can't close the page, tab out, type something into the address bar,
even clicking the chrome extensions is unresponsive! you can't even right click the page! this is absolutely illegal on multiple levels.
**** you, adware. you are the only reason I ever regretted buying a Windows OS and installing Boot Camp. gosh. darned. viruses.

I'm reporting this here, (after scanning my computer for viruses about 10 times) because if it's some kind of website code creating this sadistic devil-popup, then perhaps that code can be added onto the filters and blocked with great prejudice. hell, I'm already going to try making a custom filter, as soon as I figure out how the protocol for those is written.
I really, really, really hate adware with every fiber of my being. they're even worse than ads. I don't want anyone else to suffer as I have. I'm probably going to report this to Google, and ask them to block it too. I am so angry.
(just to clarify, in case the language here is too goofy: I'm being serious. for some reason, I crack jokes when mad. sorry.)
