Yahoo Mail Beta question

Post by Guest »

Can anyone tell me how to remove the space that remains after you remove the ads on the right hand side of the screen in Yahoo Mail Beta? When I first open my Inbox, the blank is not there. But after a few seconds, the Inbox window resizes, leaving a blank spot.

Thanks in advance,
Jim

The inbox has a defined width. To my knowledge, there is nothing there to remove in that space that would allow the inbox to expand.

I'm not sure this is true. Hopefully the following will explain what I mean.

Yahoo Mail Beta immediately after logging on:

Yahoo Mail Beta a few seconds after logging on:

So it appears that the Inbox doesn't have a fixed width and that it is being resized by the "hidden" ad.

That is the same way it loads on mine too.

I could be wrong as I have tried to "remove" that before. I didn't dig through the code a lot, but I came to the conclusion that the inbox is being 'dynamically' resized AFTER it is initially displayed.

I could be wrong .... I just can't get it to open out ... no matter what I do there.

If you've tried and failed then I'm guessing most likely it can't be done. Oh well, guess I will just live with it.

Thanks for the replies. :)

That userscript doesn't work. There is one that does work, but it messes up the width of it. It'd be nice if somebody made a new userscript to fix/remove that annoying area. :P
