cannot compile list

safari 12.1 on mac high sierra i regularly get an error for no apparent reason 'cannot compile list' or some such no further explanation or anything to do but click OK.
is this a known issue?

Thanks for reaching out to us! Some users have found success by removing Adblock Plus using the the instructions in this link
