Adblock Pus won't update

Im running Adblock Plus v 1.8.7.1251 on Mavericks 10.9.5 and Safari 7.0.6. Just recently 1.8.7.1523 is released and it shows up in my updates tab in safari extensions but when i click on update (manual) it does not update to the latest version like how it is able to previously. Clicking on update countless times but it just won't update. Please help.

The developer certificate, the devbuild is signed with has been expired. Once we replaced the certificate it will automatically update again. Alternatively you can switch to the
stable release, which is already signed with the new certificate. For more details see
issue 1573.

Just to update, now I am able to update to the latest version.
