Version 0.1 Safari Not Blocking Ads on NYTimes.com

Post by anon »

With just EasyList and Easy Privacy filter list on, the Safari version is not blocking ads on the new NYTimes.com. I don't see any of the ads or placeholders using same filter settings in Firefox or Chrome on a macbook.

Thanks.

I have sent you a PM, with a link to a build of Adblock Plus for Safari, that includes some bugfixes, that are not merged into upstream yet. If the issue is fixed there, it will also be fixed in the public beta, that we are going to release soon.

Using the unreleased 1.7.2 and still randomly seeing placeholders on NYTimes.com. And if I reload the page they go away but then next time I go to the page, they appear again.

Other few interface bugs are:

1. If you open a block element dialogue and then cancel it, the Adblock toolbar button freezes and does not allow you to open the option panel again until browser is restarted.

2. Another bug that has been happening randomly is that as you can see on screen grab the Adblock Plus dialogue has no text on it - this has happened couple times on various websites and only way to resolve has been to restart browser.

Fixed, patch is currently under review.

illusionmist has reported the same issue. However I haven't really looked into it yet. But it looks like a Safari bug. I will let you know when I know some more.

I did some changes, that might have fixed it. Please let me know if that still happens with the latest build, I sent you.

That should be fixed too, now in my latest build. For more details see the other thread.
