Video Ads Not Blocked for Certain Sites
I am running Safari version 8.0.5. On certain websites, such as CNET, Dailymotion, etc., video ads are not being blocked, but on Chrome, the ads are blocked and I do not experience these issues. Am I the only one having this issue?
Re: Video Ads Not Blocked for Certain Sites
Unfortunately due to the heavy limits of safari API:
-XMLHttpRequests can't be blocked.
-Requests initiated by third-party plugins like Flash can't be blocked. This mostly affects in-video ads (like prerolls), however not those on YouTube, which are blocked in a different way.
So, you can only try to remove / disable flash plugin in safari and see if those sites are already prepared to use html5 videos

Thanks. I'll just stick to Chrome. Just wanted to know why this was happening.
