abp does not hide/block the elements

ABP for Safari does not hide the elements on thepiratebay.se


Use the search to reproduce, the ads are blocked but the white space not.



I have tried to use the "block element" feature but it does not work, it hides the element but if you refresh the page it appears back...

I have highlighted with yellow using ABP block element, the same thing if you scroll the page under the page numbers...

in firefox I don't see this blocked elements/spaces

No, It works fine in Firefox for me but not Safari...

can someone with Safari 8 confirm this issue?

Are you using the last dev build ?

The fix is on the way, and will land in the devbuild as soon as the patch has been reviewed.

@mapx: Please note that the extension isn't as identical to Adblock Plus for Chrome and Opera, as you might think. While the UI and the code that processes the filters is the same, the underlying extension API is quite different, and we have a fair amount of platform specific code to abstract those differences. In this particular case, the abstraction code had to be adapted for a change in Safari 8.
