Hi,
first I have to ask to excuse my bad english. I hope you can understand.
I have a problem with adblock plus 1.8.6. I use it with Safari 8.0. It blocks ads on youtube (the spots before the video begins) but on other sides (for example on southpark.com) the ads still appear.
I tried it the same way with firefox and there it worked very well. Is this a general problem or is it my mistake? I tried to change some options but it don't work. Now I use it with standard options, because so it worked on firefox.
I would like to say thank you once before.
Greetings
Bretzel
blocking ads on videos only works with youtube
Re: blocking ads on videos only works with youtube
unfortunately due to the limitations of safari:
XMLHttpRequests can't be blocked.
Requests initiated by third-party plugins like Flash can't be blocked. This mostly affects in-video ads (like prerolls), however not those on YouTube, which are blocked in a different way.
