Click-To-Donate Sites

This is the place to discuss issues with the acceptable ads list like a website no longer complying with the criteria.

Click-To-Donate Sites

Click-To-Donate Sites (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Click-to-donate_site) are unique in that they are websites that you specifically choose to go and intentionally have the ads display. Why not white-list these sites completely as having "acceptable ads?"

The Acceptable Ads initiative is about allowing ads that aren't irritating. The content of the ads is almost irrelevant. The only mention of it in the manifesto — but not the criteria page — is that Acceptable Ads must be appropriate for the site they're on. So ads aren't going to be whitelisted just because they're used to fund charity causes or something of the like. Users can always whitelist sites with a couple of clicks if they so choose.
