Adblock Plus Blocks Images in Outlook 2016 Email

After installing Adblock Plus I noticed I was unable to preview images in my Outlook 2016 anymore. I double-checked my settings to allow images, even rechecked and uncheck it again but still no joy. I uninstalled Adblock Plus and voila, I can see images again. I suspect it's due to Outlook using IE for it's external content.It's a great product so I want to use it but I need a solution so won't block Outlook images.
