Adblock Plus

ADBP 1.5.0.0 on IE 11 is not blocking YouTube in-video adds. This is a new development in the last couple of days, I have been using ADBP for a long time and yesterday it suddenly started letting the adds that play at the beginning, during and at the end of a video to be played instead of being blocked. (yesterday was the first time I noticed this, but I have been away for a couple of days, so it may have actually started sooner)

Should I also delete patterns-backup1.ini, patterns-backup2.ini, etc (1-5) ?

it doesn't matter, but you could delete all of them

I deleted patterns-backup1.ini then restarted windows (my virus protection was asking to restart, so I combined the two actions), no joy I still got an ad at the beginning of the video.
Then I deleted pattern.ini and patterns-backup1.ini, patterns-backup2.ini, etc (1-5) and restarted IE, still no joy, I still got an ad at the beginning of the video.
Any other ideas?

Did you check patterns.ini ? what's the current size ?

patterns.ini is currently 3,095 KB. this is after all of the deletions mentioned above, so I assume it should be the new version.

I tested some videos, I get no video ad.

I even unchecked the "allow some unobtrusive ads" box.

Tested with /without logging in. No video ads here.

Have you tried giving IE a good clean up?
Delete temp files/cookies..
Reset IE to defaults..

I am logged in to YouTube. I cleared the cookies and temp files, I kinda don't want to reset IE to default.
Still getting ads.

try GJL'idea: resetting IE. If we can't reproduce your issue it's difficult to say more
