Help Me I'm A Newbie

Post by Mark.Spears »

I'm brand new to ABP, running IE11 on Windows 7, and I'm totally confused after some experimentation and reading.
My initial impression is that ABP for IE is not as well implemented as for other browsers, like FireFox.
As concisely as I can phrase this, does ABP for IE provide direct means for modifying filters to block additional sites and put others on a Safe List? Is there any documentation for this?
WaskuCity.com reports that my AdBlocker is restricting the functionality of the website, and suggests putting them on a Safe List. Please comment.
I have noticed that the popup menu from the IE taskbar has less functionality than that in FireFox, according to the online documentation. Please comment.

I realize that IE has limited life after the announcement of end of support, but please let me know what I might be able to help with here, especially documentation.

As has been repeatedly posted on these forums, the only way to add additional filters and subscriptions to ABP for IE is to make the changes in ABP for Firefox and move the patterns.ini file over to the ABP for IE installation (making sure IE is closed when you do this); indeed ABP for IE is much less functional than ABP for Chrome or Firefox.
There's a buzzin' in my brain I really can't explain; I think about it before they make me go to bed.
