Running version 1.3 does not block youtube ads for me, I then tried the latest development build and still getting the same problem. This is after a new installation of windows 8.1 with ie 11. I've also tried changing the filter from default easylist to easylist+ another and back again, still youtube ads are showing.
I had this problem before with 1.3 but I then tried a development build and it worked great, sadly the version of it was listed as "99.9" in control panel installed software and I do not know how to obtain it again... I still have version "99.9" on my other pc which continues to block youtube ads fine.
Anyone have some ideas on how to fix this?
Update: I just found the working version for blocking youtube ads to be "1.2.705.0" on my other pc. Is that what the problem is? Version 1.3 does not block youtube ads?

Re: Youtube ads not being blocked
go into settings, try switching the subscribed list (if you have easylist pick up easylist + german, then visit some sites / youtube, see if works, then you could pick up again your original list)
Re: Youtube ads not being blocked
Hi as you replied I was editing my original post stating that I've tried the filter list change fix already. I have not tried easylist+german though, I'll try that tomorrow on my other pc(work computer) that is running the new windows install with and dev build. Might try rolling back to 1.3 as well.
Re: Youtube ads not being blocked
Thank you for your suggestions mapx, I now have it working but not from changing the subscription list. I’ll describe what I did as best I can.
Firstly I tried changing the filter list, back and forth, didn’t work.
I then tried uninstalling and then installing each version from 1.3.745 (current) all the way back to 1.2.705 which is what I have running on my other pc with youtube ads being blocked successfully.
None of this worked I made sure to open IE each time, enable the adblock plugin, let it load, then close IE (cache also being deleted on exit), then reopening IE, let adblock load(takes a few seconds), then go to youtube and test a couple videos I know have ads. They would still show, sometimes partially only showing.
At that point I concluded it wasn’t a version issue and must be something that happens on a fresh installation of windows 8.1(has happened to me on every new windows install since IE 11 release).
To get it to work I’d click adblock icon and go to settings which would open new IE window, I ended up toggling allow unobtrusive ads off and on again(could be left on or off didn’t matter) and then from that NEW settings window I went to youtube and viola, no ads. Seems this needs to be done once after fresh windows installs.

Re: Youtube ads not being blocked *fixed*
I've run into this issue too with every 1.2 install. Finally noticed a window upon closing IE so after installing ABP you need to minimize main IE window to see the pop-up window to toggle non-intrusive ads.
