ABP for Google Chrome and I.E.

I have ABP for Google Chrome installed on my computer. Sometimes I have to use I.E. because some sites are not compatible with Google Chrome. Can I also install ABP for I.E. on the same computer that I installed ABP for Google Chrome? That way I will have ABP protection regardless which browser I use.

Installed ABP for I.E. Don't know if it installed correctly and/or is working. Unlike Google Chrome which shows an ABP icon in the top right of the browser tab window, I don't see an ABP icon anywhere in the I.E. browser tab.

File under weird. The ABP icon is in the Status bar, but when I "test" it, it says it's not working. I disabled all add-ons and tried again. Still not working.

Through my work, I've seen ABP for IE broken on numerous computers.
So far all have been fixed with a little add-on troubleshooting.

I'm guessing this problem has less to do with ABP clashing with incompatible add-ons & more to do with how IE handles all add-ons.
Just one of those intuitive feelings one gets after seeing the same problem many times.

Easiest way to go is;

Uninstall ABP.
Remove or disable all other add-ons.
Reinstall ABP & test again.

Once working, enable/reinstall any other wanted add-ons.

Good Luck.

Good suggestion. Uninstalled ABP, disabled all add-ons, restarted computer and re-installed ABP. Unfortunately, ABP still isn't working. Been reading a lot of posts on here and messages on the net about other peoples problems with IE and ABP. Makes me think my computer's not the problem. Also, just last week I had my CPU in for some minor issues and the techs there really cleaned it up.

Uninstalled ABP version 1.2 and installed version 1.1. Went to the test page and it said it was working. I guess the problem is with version 1.2.

Still seem to be having a problem. When I use Google Chrome to visit a site, the ABP icon in the top right of the page indicates the number of blocked ads in the lower right corner of the ABP icon; there is no such indication of blocked ads when I visit the same sight in the ABP icon when using IE. However, with ABP enabled, when I visit the site no ads appear and when I disable ABP and visit the site with IE, ads do appear. So perhaps it IS working. Unless it is Avast that is blocking the ads; as it's icon in IE indicates.

ABP for IE doesnt have all the features of ABP for chrome, so there is no icon number yet.
