Hi all

I installed the latest ABP addon for IE 11. When I click on the malware domains subscription, I get a "The webpage cannot be displayed" message. Please advise.

Regards

ABP for IE does not have all the features as for the other browsers (like more lists, ABP protocol, custom filters)

see
a workaround (prepare in firefox your filters set, which is saved like patterns.ini, then replace that from ABP for IE):

Thanks for your comments. I compared a Firefox patterns.ini to an IE patterns.ini of a new ABP installation and noticed quite a few differences. I therefore decided to only copy the malwaredomains subscription/filters section from the Firefox to the IE patterns.ini. Is this OK as well? For testing purposes, I added a domain to the subscription filters and it was successfully blocked, so I am assuming this will work?

How is this list actually updated? Does IE query https://easylist-downloads.adblockplus. ... s_full.txt on startup and compare this list to the filters in the patterns.ini file?

Our users in our environment don't have admin rights. Is there a way to prevent updates notifications of the ABP plugin? If possible, I would like to hide as much as possible from the user and deploy such updates using our patch management solution.

Thanks in advance for your advice!

-for update notifications in such environments like yours see
Large scale deployments of ABP
forum/viewforum.php?f=21

and eventually add your questions

-I have no idea about how are updated those lists/sections added using modified patterns.ini but probably you could prepare a weekly patterns.ini update and distribute it to all your users
