Adblock Plus

I got a message stating that a new version of adblock plus was ready to be installed, and I installed it - but now it doesn't work on any site and it's really annoying.

I uninstalled it and went back to version 1.1 - but now that doesn't work either!

What can I do?

Did you remove 1.2 from control panel or you simply installed 1.1 over it ?

I uninstalled it, but from the installer and left it in the control panel originally. I've just uninstalled it from there and then reinstalled 1.1 & it's working again.

I'm having difficulties too,
initially tried accepting the auto update install route (ie11),
then unistalled 1.1 via win7-64bit control panel
tried installing using adblockplusie-1.2.exe (downloaded from the website)
but got 'key not valid for use in specified state (ie is/was shutdown)
used uniblue to cleanup
tried installing 1.1 again but getting same 'key not valid...' then
0x80070643 - fatal error during installation'
tried cleanup again and this time removing adblock folder from AppData
tried both installs but getting identical errors.

don't you just hate it when software is not tested before being released !

I uninstalled because it quit working on a website I frequent and was going to reinstall it but now it wont install. I get an eternal error has occurred.
