adblock plus not working on ie7 on windows server 2003

Hi i tryed to install adblock plus on my server 2003 pc. Instalation was ok and setup tells that it completed successfuly but when i fire up ie the "adblock was installed page" doesnt appear. Also the small adblock icon is not displayed. It seems that adblock is not working as i ran through some pages but i keep geting ads. Can someone help me i really need adb on my server 2003 pc.

as other users reported it would be better disable all other addons in IE (java included) and try again

I don't have any other addons in IE. Any other sugestions?

did you try ABP for ie7 on another system ? (not a server one)
did you enable the status bar ?
do you see (when launch IE) the AdblockPlusEngine.exe process ?

I always have the status bar enabled. On my xp pro sp3 machine with ie8 i can see the process in task manager when i launch ie but on server 2003 i don't see it. If i try to manualy start it it crashes

No. As i saw IE8 is more slow than IE7 and the Windows CardSpace control panel applet will not work after IE8 is installed. There are more reasons why i need IE7 on the server... I have a XP sp3 vm with IE7 should i try to see if ADB works there?

Ok so in the xp pro vm with ie7 ADP is working normally as it is on my laptop (xp pro & ie8) but still refuses to run on the server with ie7 i have another server 2003 with ie8 installation on my laptop but here ADP it works as expected. What is happening on the server 2003 installation with ie7? why ADP doesn't work there???

both 2003 servers have the same (last) updates / software / permissions ?

Both server 2003 machines have the same user accounts/permissions. Windows update is disabled on both machines. the one on which ABP is not working has less programs installed.

So anybody still has no idea why ABP doesn't work on my pc?
