I have the same problem (Win7/IE10). I've tried uninstalling, ending the ABP process in task manager, cleaning up leftover ABP folders/files, rebooting & reinstalling but ABP still did not block ads.

The only work around I have found is this;

Open your home page, click the little red ABP icon at the bottom of the page, click "Disable Everywhere".
Wait a few seconds then repeat, click the ABP icon & again click "Disable Everywhere" to remove the tick.

Sometimes I have to run through these steps twice before ABP will properly enable & start working.
The above needs to be done on each & every new tab opened as ABP fails to enable on new tabs.

Not a solution but until an updated release is available I hope this workaround helps.
