Middle click new tab... long pause then opens in new window

I'm having an issue on Windows 8.1 IE11 where I middle click to open a link in a new tab and for whatever reason it pauses for quite some time, up to 1 minute and then it opens the link in a new window instead of a new tab. If I uninstall AdBlock for IE it works properly.
