Adblocker not blocking all ads anymore + Adblocker icon gone

I absolutely freaking HATE that I got fooled into updating to a version that now no longer blocks all ads. Even worse, no matter what I try I can’t see the Adblocker Plus icon anymore or find a way to force the program to block all ads again. I have went to the View/Toolbars/check Status Bar on and nothing….no help. Do you have any useful advice? Is there a way to install a version that blocks everything if I can’t get this version to work? I have loved Adblocker Plus for years but now this just sorks and I wish I could kick someone in the forking nutter butters for messing it up.

Please advise what to do with this crappiola now besides deleting it.

I removed it then tried installing several versions, the last and oldest being 1.0.541 and that version gave the error message (Error 0x80070666: Cannot install a product when a newer version is installed.) so apparently removing it with the install program does not fully remove it and allow a clean install of a different or older version. Thank you for the speedy reply....still ready to toss the monitor out the window.

It still isn't working. My problem is that I LOVE http://www.couchtuner.la/ because I can see almost any TV series I want without all the commercials and anytime I want. The site has a lot of malicious ads that I am not fooled into clicking but that are just irritating pop-ups. Adblock Plus always kept this site clean in the past but now Adblock Plus no long works for this or any site. Now I understand that websites hate the adblocker because they lose out on a lot of ad revenue but I just want an adblocker that works so if this one no longer will work for me can you or anyone else recommend a free adblocker program that does work and that will block ALL ads ALL THE TIME?

At least GIVE US the option to turn it off, don't just turn it off and mess up the basic function of the script. I will always miss Adblock Plus as it was when it worked, but if that is no more then just tell me if there is something you recommend. I just want something that works well for my purposes.

That site changes often the popups source, you should use firefox / chrome (where you can add easier custom filters).

BUT... for some unknown reason there was an addon in IE that was named Research without any information and no installed date, I disabled that...and I do not know if that or something else made the change needed but now...finally...I can see the icon for Adblock Plus. I have now set it so that all ads should be blocked....but it still it does not block the ads. Any other suggestions...? Thank you for the help.

You can try going to ABP setting in your IE then select the list.
