ABP IE 11 (?) Not Working?

Not sure if I'm getting this.

Just done a clean install on a POCAM ( Piece Of Crap Ancient Machine) 64 bit win7 and IE 11 fully patched and ABP and Element Hiding is NOT working.
I read somewhere element hiding was being retired in favour of some other mechanism. Is that right?

Should Element Hiding actually work in IE11?

it wasn't retired but the devs are working to some other approach:
Switch to injecting CSS for element hiding

Some hiding rules don't work with the current builds, for example on yahoo sites.
If you can provide some examples I can also test on my IE.

reddit has the sponsored link an ad on the site regardless if adblock plus is on or off
same with bing (haven't tried other search engines)
