Adblockplusengine.exe not running - IE

For those of you struggling like myself because Adblockplusengine.exe is not running for IE no matter which version you install and reinstall... It may be because "Enable Third Party Extensions" has been unchecked/disabled in Internet Explorer->Tools->Internet Options->Advanced->Browsing section. It is enabled by default but if in the course of troubleshooting other browser related problems (such as Java JRE loading, etc) it has been turned off, ABP will no longer load - even if the addon is enabled in manage addons.

I searched the internet high and low for this one related to ABP, because all of my other browser plugins work, and couldn't find anything. Consider yourselves informed;)
