did you try the last dev version ?
see 32-bit or 64-bit (for your system)

64-bit
devbuilds/adblockplusie/00latest-x64.msi

32-bit
devbuilds/adblockplusie/00latest-x86.msi

Hi,

September 2014 I had piratebay adds using Microsoft internet explorer. This was solved when I unchecked "Allow some non-intrusive advertising". Go to ABP settings.

For some reason I can find those settings... Could you provide more info?

Assuming you mean can't find..
ABP Version: 1.2.
You may need to go to "View", "Toolbars" & checkmark "Status bar" to enable it.
Click on the ABP icon on the status bar at the bottom of your internet explorer screen (any web page).
Settings is the 2nd option & "Allow some non-intrusive advertising" is a checkbox found on the settings page.
