Adblock Plus

I got a new phone and didn't like it. I had my data transferred back to my Droid Razr XT907. Since then, the Adblock Plus is no longer working. Should I uninstall and reinstall. Will Adblock Plus installation be aware that it has been uninstalled, allowing the reinstall? I'm a novice with dealing with apps on my phone. I have several that I downloaded and want to remove but cannot.

The issue of recognizing whether an app is installed is handled by Android, not the app itself; you install, uninstall, or upgrade in place the same way you would with any other sideloaded app.
