How much memory should APB be taking on a rooted device? It's taking 60+, making me wonder if it correctly asks for root permission on startup or not? Also, my hosts file has not been modified, which I assumed APB would do on a rooted device.

Memory usage of ABP for Android should not really be much different from a non-rooted device. ABP never modifies your hosts file.
