Adblock Plus

From what I understand, ABP is supposed to automatically block adds when connected to network data, however all my ads are still showing in all apps.

Using Android 4.1.2, tried using ProxyDroid to force it via the same proxy as the wifi with no luck (only tried PD cuz ABP is blocking the dropbox app).

Am I perhaps misunderstanding something or are there other steps I need to take to get it to work.

ABP only blocks ads on the data connection if your device is rooted.

I've found entering the ABP information into the proxy setting of my APN allows ads to be blocked on the data connection
