Extremely High background data usage

I was just notified by my phone that over the past 5 days, ABP for android has used over 3.5GB of data. Just wanted to let you guys know about it, I've uninstalled for now.

I just installed this over the weekend. Last night to this morning, ABP downloaded 18 GB (!!) of data from my connection while the phone was mostly idle (while I slept).

I understand what is written in the FAQ regarding data being attributed to the app, but this is ridiculous. Is it possible that ads do not stop trying to be downloaded until they are successful? What could possibly be responsible for this insane amount of data usage? My monthly broadband cap was almost busted.

and wait for the wifi data :
0.97 TB, still increasing day by day...

i took a look in Avast which has a traffic metter :
21 MB and 30MB.

And since then, google+, Androi Plateform appeared to use around 5GB each on mobile data...

Here is what I've noticed:
When you start streaming a video, ABP will "download" this video regardless if you quit watching it or not.

Noticed ABP is using considerable RAM & slowing up machine. Flash Block also reported the same. Had to disable it for now. WinXp pro, 512Mb RAM, Firefox v 21. Firefox may also have some problems. Thanks.
