Many builds ago, in a galaxy far, far... Oh. Sorry. I must have been daydreaming.
This is on a rooted ICS phone.
All traffic used to go through ABP (proxy method?), so the 'data usage' showed ABP using huge amounts of data, and only a few other apps even appeared in the listing.
Now, the configuration shows it is using iptables (which was always in the APK). The data usage 'belongs' to the apps again... It's a long listing, and ABP is a small player.
I have been seeing more ads than expected. I haven't paid much attention, nor have I kept a detailed log.
Is ABP actually filtering? How do I tell if 'iptables' is working? Doesn't it depend on kernel compile option? Can I force an alternate configuration?
I guess there is a request in there... Can ABP provide a debug/activity log? I have looked in alogcat's output, but ABP buried, limited, and hard to follow.
[Q][iptables] ABP working or not? Ads slipping through.
Re: [Q][iptables] ABP working or not? Ads slipping through.
I just updated to the latest version of ABP and nothing's getting filtered. Still ads galore all over facebook and youtube.
