I have a rooted Andoird phone, Nexus 4, with 4.2.2 Android OS installed. I have Adblock Plus, latest version, installed and running on the phone. When I'm behind my data connection (HSPA, 1900 band) on the phone, search in Google Maps doesn't work - it just shows that it's trying to find the address, but it never does, it just keeps displaying the "hourglass". Other functions such as Direction do not work as well. When I am behind Wi-Fi connection, Google Maps Search address works fine and other things work fine. When I disabled Adblock Plus via the checkbox in it, Google Maps Search address function started to work also behind Data connection, but it stops working as soon as I enable Adblock Plus. Adblock Plus probably is blocking Google Maps server(s) etc, but just when using data connection!

I have the same device and it's working fine for me.
Things you could try:

- Trying it with a development build of Adblock Plus for Android
- Clearing cache and data of the Google Maps app
- Rebooting the device (I guess you did that already)

I did all of that, and it didn't help. Seems like some vital google maps server is blocked by Adblock plus. Is it possible to see the list of blocked sites? Guest was me. And I am in Canada. Maybe here different Google Maps server(s) is/are used by Android Google Maps app?

It seems to work now with the latest (?), updated version of AdBlock Plus for Android. Let's hope it stays this way in all the future versions. Hurray!

Oops, I jinxed it... I downloaded and installed the new update on Wednesday, at 9 AM EDT and my Google Maps functionalities are all screwed up again by Adblock Plus...
The previous version required manual proxy configuration (localhost, port 2020) for Wi-Fi connections. And Google Maps worked fine with that version, when on data connection!!!
Now, the new version, does not work with proxy localhost:2020 on Wi-Fi. It only works with proxy set to None! And with the new version, Google Maps functions don't work again, as they did not before that single Adblock Plus version, that asked for manual proxy. Please restore the version that needs manual proxy and allows Google Maps to work normally!
