Adblock Plus custom filters not working Android

I have defined a lot of custom filters in adblock plus on my desktop in Firefox. I want these to work in Firefox for Android. I believe there is no way to import them directly through Adblock plus interface in Android. I heard somewhere that my adblock desktop filters can be sync'd with android using firefox sync. I did set that up but my custom filters are still not working. Any ideas?

as fare as I know, up to day there is no way to easy sync your custom filters between Firefox on Android and Desktop. I think one way would be to build an own filterlist, load it on a webspace and let all clients use it. I don't know how complex this it, but I will test it.

I was able to set up multiple subscriptions (requires root).

It's been a long time since I played with it, but I believe there is a lot of commonality with the file format. Maybe custom filters could be hacked in a similar way.
